Your payment break

  • 1 month's payment break per year included
  • In just 2 steps

A payment break means you do not have to pay one monthly instalment on your loan for a short time. Only the interest portion is debited that month. This option, which is automatically included in your loan, is also known as suspending the repayment of a consumer loan.

If you take a payment break, the only effect on your loan agreement is that the term is extended. The skipped instalment is added on at the end, so interest accrues over a longer period overall.

This is how you apply for a payment break

  1. 1. Apply in good time

Your application for a payment break must reach us 14 days before the instalment you want to skip falls due.

  1. 2. Receive our response

We check whether the payment break can be approved against the requirements. If the outcome is positive, you receive a confirmation from us in your banking Postbox.
